Activities

The WRAAF Branch is active in the ex-service community and attends briefings on special topics by the Department of Veterans’ Affairs.

WRAAF members march in the RAAF Birthday Parade from old Parliament House down George Street to Queen’s Park for a memorial service.  This march is usually held on the last Sunday of March.  Afterwards we adjourn to the Treasury Casino for a light lunch.

WRAAF members march in the Anzac Day March on 25 April each year and then again adjourn for lunch at a venue to be advised.

Also attend the church services for Anzac Day and Remembrance Day and a special church service for all ex-servicewomen in July at St John’s Cathedral in Brisbane.

Combine with other ex-service women’s associations on invitations to lunches, morning teas and other special functions.

Our Branch puts on some social activities during the year, eg, Christmas in July at Southbank TAFE, a WRAAF Branch Christmas Lunch in November and a Christmas morning tea for other ex-servicewomen’s associations in December as well.

Other services we attend are:

All members are welcome to attend these services and functions.
