Womens Royal Australian Air Force veterans visit RAAF Base Amberley

Monday 17 August, 16 ladies from the Womens Royal Australian Air Force (WRAAF) Association visited RAAF Amberley to see the significant advancements in Air Force capability since their service 20-30 years ago

The visit allowed those who formerly served with the WRAAF to see the diverse range of roles that women are now able to be employed within. The visit was an important activity in further developing an enduring relationship between the WRAAF Association and the RAAF Base Amberley community, whilst promoting women’s advancements within the Royal Australian Air Force.

Her Excellency the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC with members of the WRAAF Branch after they and the WAAAF's lead the RAAF Birthday Parade on Sunday, 27 March 2011 in honour of their 60th and 70th formation anniversaries respectively.
